Adjust the settings
Choose the output format, then compress by quality level or by target file size such as 100KB. You can also resize by percentage or to a set width and height. Results update automatically.
Compare and download
Check the before and after previews and the size saved, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
Prepare images for WordPress and other websites
This tool does not connect to WordPress. You compress your images here, then upload the smaller files to your site. This page starts with WebP output and a width of 1600 px, which you can change.
- Resize to the displayed width. If a picture is shown 800 px wide, uploading it at 4000 px only slows the page down.
- Quality: 75% to 80% is a good starting point for photos.
- Format: WebP is usually the smallest. Choose JPG if you need to be sure every tool you use accepts it.
- Logos and screenshots: they can compress better in their original format, so check the result.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the ConvertKit Lite Image Compressor & Resizer.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs in your browser, so your images are not uploaded anywhere.
Can I process many images at once?
Yes. Add as many images as you like, then download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Why is my result sometimes larger?
Flat graphics and screenshots can compress better in their original format. The result list marks any file that grew so you can keep the original.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in any modern browser. Big batches of large photos are easier on a computer, because processing uses your device's memory.
What size should images for a website be?
There is no single answer. Resize to the width the page actually shows, then lower the quality until the Before and After previews still look the same.
Does this connect to my WordPress site?
No. It works on files from your device. Compress your images here and upload the results to WordPress yourself.
