Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the ConvertKit Lite Word to PDF tool.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your file stays on your device.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
Not directly. This tool reads .docx files only. Open the .doc file in Word, choose Save As, pick .docx, then upload that file.
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word file?
It keeps text, headings, lists, tables and images, but fonts, headers, footers, columns and text boxes may differ from Word. Check the preview before you convert.
Can I select or search the text in the PDF?
No. Pages are rendered as images, so the text can't be selected or searched. Use High or Maximum quality to keep text sharp.
Why is a long document lower quality?
Browsers limit how large a page image can be. For very long documents the tool lowers the quality automatically so the PDF still builds. Split the document into parts for sharper output.
