Why convert PDF to PPTX?
PDFs are great for sharing a finished document, but they are awkward to present. PowerPoint gives you slide-by-slide control, speaker tools and full-screen presenting. Converting a PDF to PPTX puts your content into that format in seconds.
- Present a PDF as slides. Reports, lecture notes, ebooks and proposals can be shown in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides without rebuilding anything.
- Reuse content in a new deck. Copy individual slides into an existing presentation instead of screenshotting PDF pages one by one.
- Edit text that is stuck in a PDF. Editable mode turns the PDF text into real text boxes you can retype, resize and restyle.
- Add notes and animations. Once your pages are slides, you can add speaker notes, transitions, comments and annotations.
- Keep confidential files private. Everything runs in your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded, which matters for contracts, client work and unpublished research.
How this tool builds your slides
ConvertKit Lite reads your PDF in the browser, creates one slide for every page, and sets the slide size to match your PDF page so the layout is never stretched. You choose how each page is turned into slide content.
- Exact look mode renders each page as a sharp image and places it on its slide. The design, fonts, images and colors are identical to the PDF, but the content is a picture and cannot be edited.
- Editable text boxes mode reads the text in the PDF and recreates it as movable text boxes, grouped into lines and placed where the original text sat. Fonts are matched to Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New, and text is black.
- Image quality applies to Exact look. Pick 96, 144 or 216 DPI to balance file size against sharpness.
- Pages without text, such as scans, are automatically added as images even in Editable mode, so no page is ever left blank.
Looking for a different format? Try PDF to Word for editable documents, or JPG to PDF to go the other way with images.
Tips for the best result
- Design matters most? Use Exact look. Brochures, infographics and anything with complex layouts keep their appearance perfectly.
- Need to change the words? Use Editable text boxes. Expect to restyle colors and re-add images, because only text is carried over.
- Keep the PPTX small. Choose Small file (96 DPI) for email attachments, or Standard for everyday presenting.
- Charts, maps or tiny print? Choose High (216 DPI) so details stay sharp on large screens.
- Text shifted in PowerPoint? This happens when the original font is not available. Switch to Exact look, or select the text boxes and apply your preferred font.
- Password-protected PDF? Remove the password in your PDF viewer first, then add the file again.
- Very large PDF? Convert in parts if your device slows down, since everything is processed locally using your device's memory.
Present a PDF report as slides
Reports and theses are already laid out page by page, so each page makes a ready slide.
- Charts and tables: use Exact look at High (216 DPI) so details stay sharp on a projector.
- Need to change the words? Use Editable text boxes, then restyle in PowerPoint. Charts and images are not carried over in that mode.
- Pages as slides: a dense page can be hard to read on screen. Copy only the pages you need into your own deck.
- Confidential files: the conversion runs in your browser, so unpublished research is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the ConvertKit Lite PDF to PPTX tool.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. The PowerPoint file is created in your browser, so your PDFs stay on your device.
What is the difference between the two modes?
Exact look places each PDF page on a slide as a high-quality image, so the design is identical but cannot be edited. Editable text boxes places the text from the PDF as real, movable text boxes, but images, colors and shapes are not kept.
Will the slides be fully editable?
PDF files do not store slides, so a perfect editable copy is not possible. Editable text mode gives you text you can change, positioned as close to the original as the PDF allows. Pages with no text, such as scans, are added as images.
Why does the text look different in PowerPoint?
Fonts are matched to Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New. Spacing can shift slightly when the original font is not available. Use Exact look when the design matters most.
Can I convert password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first, then add the file again.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Add several PDF files, convert them together, and download each PPTX or one ZIP.
Does each PDF page become one slide?
Yes. Every page of your PDF becomes one slide, in the same order. The slide size matches the page size of your PDF, so nothing is stretched or cropped.
Which image quality should I choose?
Standard (144 DPI) suits most screens and projectors. Choose Small file (96 DPI) to keep the PPTX light for email, or High (216 DPI) for detailed charts, maps and small print.
Is there a limit on file size or page count?
There is no fixed limit because nothing is uploaded. Large PDFs with many pages take longer and use more memory, so close other heavy tabs or split a very large file first.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, in Exact look mode every page is placed as an image. Editable text mode cannot recover text from a scan because there is no real text in the file, so those pages are added as images.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The converter runs in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux with no app to install.
Is the PDF to PPTX converter really free?
Yes. It is free with no account, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert.
Which mode is best for a report with charts?
Exact look at High (216 DPI). It keeps charts, tables and images identical to the PDF and sharp on a large screen.
Can I use only some pages of my report as slides?
The tool converts the whole PDF. Copy the slides you need into your own deck, or split the PDF first with the Split PDF tool.
